One of the nieces I feel closest to is starting high school today and her mom is starting her second year of nursing school as well. Which means I’m up because I am having vicarious start of school anxiety. Which reminds me of what I told my niece and what applies to nursing school as well:

The second day is almost always easier than the first

Everyone is so busy worrying about who is looking at them, no one is even looking at you. Well maybe a little in high school. But in nursing school, everyone’s wearing the same goofy uniform at least.

Comfortable shoes are very important. Essential actually.

You’ll be better off if you make friends instead of just falling into a clique.

Take vics vapor rub with you and run it under your nose when confronting Very Bad Smells. Oops, that one is nursing school only. If there are Smells That Bad in high school, see about a transfer.

Are you ready for (cue scary music) school to start again?
